Zayon's work with Sicredi during the Next Impact by FENASBAC acceleration program has been featured in Next Report 6, the program's official report.

In an interview with FintechLab IA, a market intelligence platform focused on AI and infrastructure for the financial system, Zayon's Founder and CEO Deborah Nogueira discussed how the company has positioned itself as decision infrastructure for financial institutions, and why tightening regulation is increasing demand for explainable, governed AI.

That model is under pressure. Regulators and supervisors increasingly ask not whether the framework exists, but whether a specific decision, about a specific customer, on a specific date, complied with the rules in force at that moment. Answering that question for one decision is laborious. Answering it for thousands is often impossible.

Zayon's Founder and CEO, Deborah Nogueira, took the stage at Next Day, FENASBAC's innovation event, to present the ESG Advisor, the proof of concept Zayon developed with Sicredi during the Next Impact by FENASBAC acceleration program.

Machine learning is probabilistic by nature. A credit model doesn't say a customer will default. It says there is a 3% probability. Language models go further: ask the same question twice and you may get two different answers.

Zayon, a Brazilian company building Trustworthy AI Decision Infrastructure for financial institutions, has completed a proof of concept with Sicredi, one of Brazil's largest cooperative financial systems, for an AI-powered ESG advisor designed to support relationship managers in offering sustainable financial products.

 Zayon has developed a new hybrid recommendation model for banks and credit cooperatives, designed to help institutions recommend the right financial products to each customer while keeping every recommendation explainable and within the institution's business rules.

Zayon has joined NVIDIA Inception, NVIDIA's program for startups advancing artificial intelligence and accelerated computing. As a member of NVIDIA Inception, Zayon gains access to technical training, AI expertise and go-to-market support, as well as opportunities to connect with other AI-driven organizations and the broader NVIDIA ecosystem.

An obsession with accuracy can be counterproductive. Models overfitted to the past create an illusion of control. In practice, that illusion leads to hidden risk exposure and to decisions that look technical but are dangerously dogmatic.

Decision intelligence was right about one thing: decisions are what matter. But insight alone doesn't simplify decisions. Structure does.

"Data-driven culture" is usually framed as giving more people more access to more data. In financial institutions, that framing is incomplete, and in some cases inappropriate: banking secrecy and the LGPD require that access to customer data be controlled, not democratized.
